Research

The Department has 10 main research lines, many of them emerging. The main aim is the exhaustive characterization of oncoHaematology patients and the development of diagnostic tools with application in the clinical practice, with special interest in the design and application of new diagnostic platforms and the analysis through Big Data. All obtained results are validated by pre-clinic models development, being pioneers in immunotherapy. Furthermore, the Department will take a step forward and analyse the relation between microbiome and oncoHaematology patients with bone marrow transplant. In addition, the Department promote and lead a high number of Clinical Assays and does not cease in the research to improve hematopoietic progenitor transplants. All these lines share the transversal mission, since the last goal is always its translation into clinical practice.
